LAGOS, Nigeria (XOL Africa) — Heirs Insurance Group has appointed Pastor Jerry Eze as an independent nonexecutive director of Heirs Life Assurance, effective Aug. 10, 2026.
The insurance group announced the appointment in a post on X, saying Eze’s experience in community engagement, philanthropy and development communications would bring valuable perspectives to the company’s board.
“He brings valuable insight that will support our continued commitment to financial inclusion, and expanding access to insurance across Nigeria,” Heirs Insurance Group said.
The company said the appointment comes as it seeks to make insurance more accessible, relevant and impactful to Nigerians.
“We look forward to the experience and perspective he brings to our Board,” the group said.
Eze is a Nigerian pastor and founder of the online Christian ministry Streams of Joy International. He is also known for his large-scale community and philanthropic initiatives.
Heirs Life Assurance is part of Heirs Insurance Group, a Nigerian financial services group founded by businessman Tony Elumelu.
