ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (XOL Africa) — Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi, has appointed Nigerian-born hospitality marketing executive Lotachukwu (Lota) Monyei as director of public relations and marketing, as the 400-room property seeks to strengthen its brand presence and reputation.
Monyei will lead the hotel’s public relations, brand and marketing strategy across channels, with responsibility for driving awareness and revenue for the property and its dining, events and leisure offerings.
Her hospitality marketing career spans multiple Marriott brands, including Sheraton, Le Méridien, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft, Element and Courtyard by Marriott. Her experience includes multi-property marketing coordination and senior leadership roles focused on integrated communications, campaigns and brand development across different hotel segments.

Most recently, Monyei served as senior manager of marketing and communications for the Le Méridien Dubai Hotel Complex, where she supported communications across five properties. Her work generated more than 1 million UAE dirhams ($272,000) in earned media value for Le Méridien Dubai alone, according to the hotel.
Monyei was also named to Hotelier Middle East’s Marketing Power List in 2024 and 2025, recognizing her work and contribution to hospitality marketing in the region.
“We are delighted to welcome Lota to the Marriott Hotel Al Forsan family,” said Catalina Susan, general manager of Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi. “Her creativity, strategic thinking, and proven record across the Marriott portfolio make her the ideal person to elevate our brand and tell our story to the region and beyond.”
Monyei said the new role would give her an opportunity to build on the hotel’s existing identity and connect its offerings with guests and partners.
“Every hotel has a story, and Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi, is one of energy, adventure, and warmth. I can’t wait to help tell it,” Monyei said. “I’m joining an exceptional team, and my hope is to build something lasting for our guests, our partners, and the team I work alongside every day.”
The appointment adds to Marriott Hotel Al Forsan’s commercial leadership team as the property continues to invest in brand positioning, integrated communications and audience-led storytelling.
Located in Abu Dhabi, Marriott Hotel Al Forsan is part of the Marriott portfolio and offers accommodation alongside dining, events and leisure facilities. Monyei’s appointment is expected to support the hotel’s efforts to expand its visibility and position it for continued commercial growth.
