ABUJA, Nigeria (XOL Africa) — NNPC Gas & Power Investment Services, known as NGPIS, has secured ISO 9001:2015 certification from the British Standards Institution, strengthening its quality management systems as it seeks to improve operational performance and competitiveness in Nigeria’s energy industry.

The certification recognizes NGPIS’ commitment to quality service delivery, internationally accepted management practices and sustainable business performance, the company said.

The ISO certificate was presented to Olalekan Ogunleye, executive vice president for gas, power and new energy at NNPC Limited, by a delegation from NGPIS led by Ayuba Rabo, the company’s head of planning and commercial, at NNPC Towers in Abuja.

The certification process began in December 2024 and included internal and external audits, process standardization and the development of a comprehensive quality management system, according to NGPIS.

The process was coordinated by the company’s Quality Management System team, led by Okeoghene Esugo.

NGPIS said the ISO 9001:2015 certification aligns its quality management system with international best practices and is expected to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The company said the certification would also strengthen its ability to compete in the global energy industry while supporting the strategic objectives of NNPC Limited in the gas and power sector.

ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized standard for quality management systems, designed to help organizations establish consistent processes, improve efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
