JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Oct. 13, 2026 — Kholo Capital Mezzanine Debt Fund I has provided 275 million rand ($17 million) in mezzanine debt financing to South African information and communications technology distributor DCC Holdings to refinance existing debt and support its long-term growth strategy.

The funding will give DCC greater financial flexibility as it expands its operations and strengthens its position in the Southern African technology distribution market, Kholo Capital said Tuesday.

Founded in 1988, DCC distributes products across personal computing, printing, enterprise infrastructure and software. Its portfolio includes technology brands such as HP, Dell and Lenovo, which it supplies to resellers, system integrators and retailers across Southern Africa.

Mokgome Mogoba, managing partner and founder of Kholo Capital, said the transaction would help optimise DCC’s capital structure while providing resources to support its next phase of growth.

“DCC has established itself as one of South Africa’s leading ICT distributors, with a strong market position underpinned by longstanding relationships with leading global technology manufacturers, an extensive reseller network and well-established logistics and distribution capabilities,” Mogoba said.

Zaheer Cassim, another managing partner and founder of Kholo Capital, said DCC had built an established distribution platform through its regional reach, logistics capabilities and relationships with channel partners.

He also highlighted the company’s initiatives in youth employment, support for learners with disabilities and small and medium-sized enterprise reseller development, alongside its adoption of solar energy and water-saving measures.

Cassim said Kholo Capital believed DCC was positioned to capitalise on opportunities in the regional ICT market.

DCC is backed by Kleoss Capital, a private equity investor. Hale Matsipa, managing partner at Kleoss, said the transaction reflected growing activity in South Africa’s private markets and marked another collaboration between the two investment firms.

Carlos Ferreira, DCC’s chief executive, said the company had expanded steadily through the addition of key brands and growth within existing supplier relationships.

He said DCC’s shareholders, comprising senior management and Kleoss Capital, welcomed Kholo Capital as a new financing partner.

Deneys acted as legal counsel to Kholo Capital, while Webber Wentzel advised DCC.

The transaction uses mezzanine debt, a form of financing that combines features of debt and equity, to support refinancing and provide flexibility for future business expansion.
