SPRING, Texas, Aug. 26, 2026 (XOL Africa)  — ExxonMobil’s chief financial officer will take part in a fireside chat at Barclays’ annual energy conference in New York next month, giving investors an opportunity to hear directly from one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies as the sector weighs capital allocation, energy demand and the economics of lower-carbon investments.

Neil Hansen, ExxonMobil’s senior vice-president and CFO, is scheduled to speak at the Barclays 40th Annual Energy-Power Conference on Sept. 9 at 8 a.m. ET, the company said on Wednesday.

ExxonMobil did not provide details of the topics Hansen is expected to address. The appearance will nevertheless put the company’s financial strategy in focus for investors following developments across oil, gas, chemicals and emerging lower-emissions technologies.

The event will be webcast live, with an archived audio recording expected to be posted on ExxonMobil’s website about 24 hours after the presentation.

ExxonMobil, whose shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker XOM, operates across upstream oil and gas, fuels, chemicals, lubricants and lower-carbon businesses.

The company has increasingly positioned its lower-carbon operations alongside its traditional hydrocarbons businesses, while maintaining a large portfolio of oil and gas resources.

ExxonMobil said its portfolio includes the largest CO2 pipeline network in the US. It has also set 2030 targets for reducing greenhouse-gas intensity across its operated assets, including reductions in methane emissions and flaring.

The conference appearance comes as energy companies face competing pressures from shareholders seeking returns from conventional hydrocarbons and governments and customers pushing for lower emissions.

Hansen’s presentation is scheduled for 8 a.m. ET on Sept. 9 in New York.
