LONDON, Oct. 13, 2026 — Financial technology company Nuvion has partnered with EbonyLife Place London, a new cultural and entertainment venue dedicated to African and Black creativity, in a move aimed at connecting the continent’s growing creative economy with international financial services.
Nuvion, an AI-powered banking platform for businesses and digital platforms, was named the venue’s official UK banking partner to coincide with its opening in Nine Elms, south London.
The partnership will focus on providing financial infrastructure for businesses operating across borders, including multi-currency accounts, cross-border payments and payouts, and access to traditional currencies and stablecoin payment systems.
The arrangement reflects the growing international reach of Africa’s creative industries, whose filmmakers, artists, entrepreneurs and production companies increasingly operate across multiple markets.
“Africa’s creative economy is increasingly global, but the people and businesses powering it still face barriers when operating across markets,” said Keisha Clark, Nuvion’s managing director.
“Our partnership with EbonyLife Place London is about backing that ambition with the financial infrastructure businesses need to operate, get paid and grow globally,” she said.
EbonyLife Place London, founded by Nigerian media entrepreneur Mo Abudu and the EbonyLife Group, brings together film, food, fashion, art, music and retail under one roof. The venue houses what its operators describe as the UK’s only cinema dedicated exclusively to African and Black film.
Abudu said the venue was intended to establish a permanent home for African and Black culture in London while connecting creative businesses with international opportunities.
“We are delighted to partner with Nuvion, creating opportunities to connect the founders, creators and businesses behind our stories with the tools and networks that can support their ambitions globally,” she said.
The venue opened with support from London Mayor Sadiq Khan and is scheduled to host Film Africa screenings from Oct. 26 to 30.
Located at 208 Wandsworth Road, the complex includes the 160-seat Amani Auditorium, the Afrobeat restaurant, Fèhìntì Lounge, Maji Concession and Bar, Zuri Retail and the Living Wall Gallery.
The partnership will extend beyond the opening, with Nuvion and EbonyLife Place London planning cultural and business-focused programmes and events over the coming year.
Nuvion, headquartered in Miami, Florida, provides multi-currency accounts, international payment services, treasury tools and compliance infrastructure through a single application programming interface. The company says it is licensed in more than 10 markets, including the UK, the United States, the European Union, Canada, Bahrain and Hong Kong.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the partnership.
